Wells County Chamber of Commerce Welcomes, The Farmhouse Merc with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Farmhouse Merc

The Wells County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to welcome The Farmhouse Merc, a new boutique with deep local ties and a unique journey. Owned by Tammy Clark and her family, the business has transitioned from a popular mobile boutique to a permanent fixture in the community, adding to Bluffton's vibrant shopping scene.

Three years ago, Tammy and her family – including her husband, Steve, daughters Kylie and Cheyenne, daughter-in-law Alicia, and granddaughter Melanie – embarked on an exciting adventure. What started as a mobile boutique traveling to livestock shows across the Midwest, including stops in Michigan and Wisconsin, is now a cherished local shop. Tammy shared, "We've loved traveling and meeting new people at events, but we always talked about finding a permanent location. When the previous boutique closed, it felt like the perfect opportunity."

The boutique is truly a family business, with all hands on deck to help bring this vision to life. "My daughters and daughter-in-law are all involved, and I think they're just as excited as I am," Tammy added. "People keep asking if I'm nervous about today, but it feels natural. This has been our life for the past three years."

Before diving full-time into the world of boutique fashion, Tammy drove a school bus. "Until August, I was still driving the bus. The boutique started as a part-time venture, but it grew into something more. The mobile business became full-time, and it was clear that this was where I wanted to focus my energy," Tammy explained.

The Farmhouse Merc features a delightful assortment of boutique clothing and accessories, including costume jewelry, Mix-o-logie perfume, authentic Navajo jewelry, jeans, graphic tees, purses, wallets, shoes, and candles. After years of traveling to livestock shows with her mobile business, Tammy has now brought her unique style to a permanent storefront in downtown Bluffton. "I love these clothes, and they reflect my style. It’s always been a dream of mine to share that with others," says Tammy.

Now open and ready to welcome the community, The Farmhouse Merc brings a charming, rural-inspired boutique to the heart of Bluffton. Tammy and her family are excited to welcome customers, both familiar faces from their travels and new friends in the area. Visit The Farmhouse Merc at 110 N Main St., Bluffton, or connect with them on Facebook. You can also check out their inventory on their website at https://www.thefarmhousemerc.com/.
