Wells County Chamber of Commerce Celebrates HomeCourt Home Care as November Member of the Month

November Member of the month

The Wells County Chamber of Commerce, alongside Chamber staff and Ambassadors, is pleased to recognize HomeCourt Home Care as November's Member of the Month. Owners Heath and Lindsey Gentis were celebrated for their meaningful contributions and steadfast commitment to the community. Supporting them in this family-owned non-medical home care agency’s mission are team members Laura Gentis, Angie Arnold, Jessica Elzey, Keesha Niblick, Haley Neuenschwander, Charlie Mosure, and Joy Mygrant.

At the heart of HomeCourt’s Structured Family Caregiving program is Angie Arnold, Family Caregiver Coach, who travels extensively from Goshen to Richmond, covering 28 counties. She ensures each family enrolled in the program receives personalized support and guidance, a vital service in rural areas where home care options are often limited. “As long as there’s a need, we’ll continue adapting to meet it,” shared Heath Gentis, highlighting the agency’s commitment to serving diverse clients, including private pay, long-term care insurance, Medicaid, and VA beneficiaries.

Founded in 2017 by Heath and Lindsey Gentis, HomeCourt Home Care was created to provide essential non-medical services that allow seniors and individuals with complex care needs to stay in their homes. “Our team may not provide medical treatments, but we offer invaluable support that ranges from companionship to daily assistance,” explained Laura Gentis. The agency’s caregivers assist with day-to-day activities, housekeeping, and transportation, helping clients maintain independence in their own homes. “We focus on compassionate care that enables people to live comfortably with the support they need,” added Laura.

HomeCourt Home Care has grown significantly, employing a large team of caregivers, including a unique contingent of Amish caregivers who provide services across Wells County and beyond. “We’ve seen tremendous growth in our Amish caregiver team,” noted Laura Gentis. The agency provides reliable transportation for Amish caregivers to reach their clients, which has broadened service availability to more rural areas.

Alongside its caregiving team, HomeCourt offers a program allowing family members and close friends to become paid caregivers through specific Medicaid provisions. “Helping families in these arrangements has been incredibly rewarding,” said Heath Gentis. “Clients receive care from trusted family members, enhancing comfort and satisfaction.” Due to the program’s success, HomeCourt has continued to expand this family-centered care model.

HomeCourt Home Care’s journey began with Lindsey Gentis, who, after her career as a dental hygienist, sought a flexible job that could accommodate their growing family’s needs. “We started small, working from home and holding interviews at the local library,” Lindsey recalled. Today, HomeCourt operates from a dedicated office and has grown to employ over 200 individuals, including private caregivers, contracted family caregivers, and full-time staff.

With an eye on the future, Heath and Lindsey Gentis are committed to adapting to industry regulations and community needs. “We want to make a lasting impact and be the first choice for non-medical home care support in our area,” Heath shared. As they continue to grow, HomeCourt remains focused on providing compassionate, quality care that meets the unique needs of their clients.
