Yoga Fix Ribbon Cutting
The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors celebrated a new business in Bluffton on July 31. A Ribbon Cutting was held with owner Cindy Petty of Yoga Fix located at 1169 North Main St.
Petty has been in the medical field as an RN for over 20 years and understands and practices the benefits of being healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually. Petty explains that Yoga is not only about the physical practice, but it’s taking one hour a day a couple times a week to focus just on ourselves and well-being. “We fill our busy lives with work, appointments, and kids and every moment of our day is planned. Yoga is making a conscious effort to focus and find the peace and calm in our lives and that is a huge part of Yoga.”
Petty explains that Yoga is beneficial for people at any age, young or beyond. “There are many benefits to Yoga mentally and physically reducing stress, insomnia, anxiety, depression and gaining more mobility and flexibility, weight loss, increasing muscle tone, improving posture and balance and relieving pain from arthritis and fibro myalgia.”
“There is a misconception with Yoga that you have to turn yourself into a pretzel and that is not the case at all. Yoga is what you want to get out of it. It’s about your body and mind being affected positively,” says Petty.
Yoga Fix offers a variety of classes from beginner to advanced and other classes such as Pilates, and Zumba. An Esthetician is also at the studio offering services in aromatherapy, meditation, massage, relaxation, reflexology, and skin care.
“There is something for everybody. Stop in for the first two classes for free to try us out,” offers Petty.
