The Wells County Chamber of Commerce and its Ambassadors recently celebrated the grand opening of MyPickleFix, a new and innovative facility offering a flexible, member-driven space for pickleball enthusiasts in the area. Located at 1645 Hillcrest Drive, in Ossian, MyPickleFix is quickly becoming a central hub for both casual players and serious pickleball fans, providing a place to play whenever individuals want, with the group of their choice.
Bob Meyer, owner of MyPickleFix, is a passionate pickleball player who envisioned a venue allowing people to play on their own schedules. "I wanted to create a space where you could play whenever you wanted, with whoever you wanted, without the restrictions of traditional public venues," Meyer explained. The facility provides an affordable, convenient alternative for the community, with court rentals starting as low as $3 per hour, depending on the number of players.
The state-of-the-art facility features a top-quality playing surface, created with a combination of primer, sealer, rubber chips, and paint, providing a cushioned, durable court for players. MyPickleFix also offers a cutting-edge, member-driven booking system powered by the MyPickleFix app. This app enables members to easily reserve court time, share bookings with friends, and receive notifications when their reservation is approaching. A unique countdown feature alerts players when their game time is nearing its end, ensuring smooth transitions between sessions.
Membership to MyPickleFix is simple and affordable, with both monthly and yearly options available. The app also allows players to divide court costs evenly among friends using the "pickle bucks" system, making it easy for groups to organize games without worrying about individual payments. "We wanted to create a seamless experience for players, and the app has really helped to make that happen," Meyer added.
Since opening, MyPickleFix has gained traction rapidly, with 180 members already signed up. The facility operates seven days a week, offering ample time for people to book their sessions throughout the day. While the venue closes between midnight and 5 a.m., players enjoy flexible and convenient access during peak hours and beyond.
Looking ahead, MyPickleFix plans to continue expanding, with potential locations in other nearby communities, including Bluffton. As pickleball’s popularity continues to grow, Meyer is optimistic about the future and excited to meet the increasing demand for a flexible, accessible venue for the sport.
