BNI Celebrates One Year in Wells County

The local BNI (Business Network International) group formed one year ago in Wells County and their local chapter name is BNI-Alpha Group. Jessica Beste, American Mortgage, is the President of the group. BNI meets every Tuesday in the morning with a total of 23 members from different sectors of the community.

Beste explains, “BNI provides an avenue of quality business referrals in the group. We help one another through networking, referrals, and word-of-mouth marketing. As a small business, you have to get yourself out there and take advantage of the many opportunities of people knowing who you are and the services you provide.”

In one year, the local chapter has conducted 399 one-on-one meetings, referred 300 individuals, and closed up to $163,000 in business.

“We see the importance of educating the group how important networking is,” says Beste. “We strongly encourage businesses to take advantage of these resources we have locally in conjunction with what the Wells County Chamber of Commerce offers. The success of your business requires your commitment to establish relationships, which will increase your business.”
