Celebration of Two Businesses Under One
The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors welcomed Brandy Stronczek of Tinkertique and Tina Barclay of tj’s Honeysuckle Alley with a ribbon cutting celebration. The businesses are located at 5986 North Miller Street in Uniondale with the bright yellow door.
The mother-daughter duo has always been crafty. Stronczek and Barclay have sold their creations at craft fairs and bazaars for many years. “We started getting serious last summer about opening up a store and by September of 2022 is when we officially opened,” explained Barclay. “We worked hard getting involved in the community Christmas events. This has always been a dream to have our own store.”
“I have been creating things my whole life whether it was painting, creating, sewing, floral arranging, or decorating,” said Barclay. “I have had a paintbrush in my hand for as long as I can remember. I was painting rocks when I was a kid and now, I am painting rocks as an adult. This best part is that I get to do this business with my daughter.”
The majority of product you will find at Tinkertique ane tj’s Honeysuckle Alley are homemade. Stronczek takes vintage items and repurposes them into something else. Customers will experience color and a welcoming atmosphere. Their goal is to keep items small and not expensive ranging from $4 up to $50.
Items are every changing as Stronczek and Barclay create their inventory; however, additional products are paintings, holiday décor, succulents, painted rocks, trinkets for kids, pottery, vases, farmhouse décor, and more.
Barclay explained that the greatest joy they experience is interacting with people. “I have so much fun talking to people and hearing their stories. We welcome you to come in, browse around, and stay awhile if you wish. We enjoy the company of our customers.”
Hours are Friday’s 10am to 5pm and Saturday’s from 10am to 3pm.
