The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors welcomed The Mattress & Furniture Store with a Ribbon Cutting on March 14 at 915 N Main St, Bluffton, with owners Tony and Peg Fiechter and Blake and Taye Fiechter.
This family-owned business opened their doors February 1, 2018 with 3,500 square feet of showroom in the Villa North complex. The business offers all sizes and comfort of Therapedic Mattresses, home décor, bedroom furniture, lift chairs, living furniture, dinettes, and much more.
“We were going to open a mattress and furniture store years ago, but the timing was not right,” explains Peg Fiechter, Owner. “That opportunity and the space recently became available and we decided it was the right time. We felt a mattress store would be a good investment because a high percentage of people sleep on one and need one.”
Peg continues to explain that the mattresses and furniture they sell are American-made. “Our mattresses are made in Rock Island, Illinois.” Furthermore, Peg has the capability of ordering special items for customers to receive in one week or less. Financing and lay-away (with certain terms) are available.
“We are very excited for this new venture and our goal is to serve and help our community,” Peg adds. “We live here and there is nothing like working in your own community and we proud to call Wells County our home. We wouldn’t enjoy this near enough if we were elsewhere. It’s been wonderful working the business with family and how we can compliment our strengths and weaknesses together.”
Peg concludes, “people are welcome to stop by and see us, even if they don’t need anything, just to say hello.”
