Chamber Welcomes Experience Audiology to Bluffton
The Wells County Chamber of Commerce and Ambassadors welcomed a new business in town, Experience Audiology, located at 2035 Commerce Drive, Suite 208, in Bluffton. A ribbon cutting was held to welcome Dr. Jennifer Wagner, her husband Ben, and their three children with the opening of the business on May 26, 2020.
Jennifer Wagner is a doctor of Audiology and has been practicing for 13 years in a private setting, currently working at Carter Hearing Clinic based out of Fort Wayne. “Carter Hearing Clinic has a location in Fort Wayne, where I work three days a week, and in Decatur where I work one day a week,” explained Wagner.
The purpose of opening the audiology center in Bluffton is to serve local patients. “Dr. Carter has been very supportive as I opened this practice and understands that someday, when he decides to retire, that I have had time to build the practice to serve patients in the Decatur and the Bluffton area,” said Wagner. “I honestly could not do this without Dr. Carter’s support and encouragement.”
As Wagner and her family prepared to open the new Bluffton location, they did some remodel work to the space. “We put in new flooring, built a wall for the reception area, painted the walls, and replaced the ceiling and lights,” stated Wagner.
Experience Audiology will offer hearing testing, and fitting for hearing aids and repairs. Wagner said she will work with all manufacturers because Experience Audiology is not a franchise; therefore, they are not owned by a specific manufacturer and can work with all of them.
“I am so excited to be here and have this opportunity with our three girls and my husband who will be a part of the business as well,” explained Wagner. “Many of the newer hearing aids are Bluetooth compatible and my oldest daughter, Adrienne, can easily help our patients set that up. I want them to be a part of this experience.”
Wagner will work at the Bluffton location one day a week on Tuesday’s from 8am to 5pm; however, will schedule people on other days. All services to current Carter Hearing Clinic patients will remain the same.
“I know that hearing aids are expensive, and our goal is to keep the pricing as low as possible but exceed the customer service expectations. We want to reasonably price the product, but also deliver that home-town care in a relaxed, nice, and comfortable environment,” said Wagner.
Wagner said she will offer a trial period for the hearing aids and if a client is not satisfied, there is no obligation to purchase and no fee for the trial. “No matter what, you are going to have a good experience with the process. We want the client to use them with ease and not get frustrated and keep them in a drawer. The customer service aspect in the business is very important to us.”
