The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff, Ambassadors and Board Members welcomed owner, Whitney Lambert, to her business Grandeur Salon with a Ribbon Cutting on January 31, 2018. Grandeur Salon is located at 122 Lamar St, Ste. 114, Bluffton.
Lambert worked in Decatur as a hair stylist and decided at the end of 2017 that she needed to change her path. “I have always had a dream to open my own salon,” says Lambert. “I decided to resign from the salon and that evening I got a call about this location being available.”
Grandeur Salon opened for business the first week of January. Lambert and her family remodeled the salon in three days with new flooring, painting of walls and ceiling, adding new light fixtures, installing new outlets, and updating the plumbing.
“When people walk into the Salon I want them to feel love, enjoy the place and come as you are,” explains Lambert. A few of the services that Lambert will provide are color, cuts (men, women, children), balayage, conditioning treatments, face waxing, and updo’s which Lambert will travel to other locations. “A list of my services will be on my new website www.grandeursalon.com.”
“I am also currently working on a retail license and will sell Young Living Essential Oils, bracelets, fun T-shirts, purses, jewelry, and signs by Mindy Yergler,” explains Lambert. “I hope to expand the shop with more retail options in the future. I will be selling the Monat and Oligo Professional products, which focuses on naturally based products and are environmentally safe.”
Once a month Lambert would like to offer programs for young girls. “I am not looking at this to be a money-driven salon, but a community service for young girls,” says Lambert. “I am partnering with Lutheran Hospital (or any other hospital) to volunteer to do hair in the Pediatric Unit or work with their families to do hair, makeup and nails.”
In addition to outreach programs, Lambert would like to coordinate quarterly and yearly events for hair donations. Grandeur Salon hours will be Tuesday through Thursday 10-6, Saturday 9-1 and by appointment as well.
