Hoosier Food Truck Setting Up Shop in Wells County

August 28, 2019Ribbon CuttingsHattie Wondercheck

The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Chamber Committees welcomed a new food truck, Hoosier Kitchen, to downtown Bluffton with a Ribbon Cutting on July 1, 2019. Larry Garrett and Elaine Pratt own and operate the food truck to bring another food option to the area.

Hoosier Kitchen Food Truck will be open for business in Bluffton on Monday’s and Friday’s in the parking lot off of Marion Street (between Walnut and Washington Streets) between the hours of 11:30am to 1:30pm. Credit cards are accepted.

“We have been in business for about a month,” explained Pratt. “Larry did construction work all of his life and retired from that business and we decided to take on a new adventure.”

Pratt explained that both she and Garrett like to cook and decided to take a shot at remodeling a 30’ RV and making it a food truck. “We thought it would be interesting to try.”

Hoosier Kitchen Food Truck has been traveling around the county and serving food between 11:30am to 1:30pm. They can be found at the Ossian Industrial Park on Tuesday’s and the parking lot beside NAPA in Bluffton on Thursday’s. The food truck is available for company functions as well.

All of their food is made from scratch offering items such as Coney Dog Casseroles, homemade salsa, tacos and salads, pork tenderloins, and mac n’ cheese. “Our menu changes and we rotate our specials often. There is something always different,” concluded Pratt.
