Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana

Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana is seeking a part-time Development Specialist to support and assist the organization in maintaining strong connections with individual donors and funders through accurate record-keeping, data analysis, reporting, data hygiene and strategic implementation of donation processing procedures which inspire charitable giving and enduring support for the organization.

 

Reports to:  Director of Donor Impact

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, document, maintain, and input data for donations and appeals
  • Update and edit constituent data in database as needed
  • Update, maintain and prepare Thank You letters for constituents
  • Prepare donation and tribute lists for quarterly newsletter and annual report
  • Complete all requirements/documentation for companies and foundations that provide matching donations
  • Provide administrative support for agency fundraising events
  • Run reports as needed during and at close of campaigns
  • Generate reports to include historical data as requested
  • Develops custom reports related to development and marketing
  • Run queries, compile and prepare data for monthly and year-end reports
  • Run queries, compile and provide data and statistics for grants and other requests
  • Performs regular data integrity checks
  • Serves as support and problem resolution resource to the team

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate, some college preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products and experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software preferred
  • Professional work experience in social service, fund development or related field
  • Must be people-focused with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a broad spectrum of people including donors, volunteers and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong skills in planning and problem-solving
  • Able to understand a need and create systems to meet that need
  • Exceptional follow through and ability to build trust
  • Must have personal integrity, be discreet and be able to maintain confidences
