We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team

in the capacity of a Parenting in Progress Coordinator

and a Client Relations Coordinator. Read about these positions below!


The Parenting in Progress Coordinator is responsible for facilitating our weekly parenting class, geared towards parents who have been referred by DCS, deemed high risk for child abuse and neglect, or desires to improve their nurturing skills. This individual develops and maintains relationships with clients through one-on-one intervention, as well as connects with the Wells and Blackford County DCS.

Other Responsibilities may include:

  • Complete necessary training as the facilitator
  • Create curriculum for the program and follow-up
  • Administer and evaluate assessments to gauge clients’ needs
  • Document visits and maintain records
  • Follow DCS guidelines and connect with offices
  • Assess needs of clients and connect to other staff or resources

Skills Required:

  • Willingness to learn
  • Empathy for clients who have experienced trauma
  • Ability to gain momentum
  • Flexibility to change
  • Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Good organizational skills

The Client Relations Coordinator is responsible for serving women and their families at both our Bluffton and Montpelier locations. This individual will walk alongside women in achieving abundant life through assessment, advocacy, education, goal setting, resource management, and faith-based services.

Other Responsibilities may include:

  • Bridge the gap between the organization and clients
  • Create and implement stability in assessment process of clients
  • Connect clients to Helping Hands’ programs
  • Serve as a liaison to agencies in the community that clients are referred to
  • Document visits and maintain documents
  • Attend trainings and conferences to stay current on intervention methods

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow through
  • Empathy for clients who have experienced trauma
  • Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner
  • Maintain relationships
  • Flexibility to change
  • Ability to problem-solve
