JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
· Define/Determine customer quality requirements on interior parts
· Participate with launch team on all APQP activities · Interface with Inteva team members, customers, and suppliers on a regular basis · Support training, and operator certification · Provide technical problem-solving, root cause analysis. and develop/issue corrective actions for defects · Manage Layered Process Audits, Control Plans, and provide assistance in development PFMEA’s · Ensure awareness and compliance to IATF, and BIQS standards, and procedures · Lead and drive scrap reduction; develop rework processes, facilitate containment, and develop action plans to improve FTQ. · Coordinate product dimension verification / analysis and provide dimensional information to the customer · Coordinate Customer submission package – 19 point PPAP · Review supplier submission packages – 19 point PPAP · Coordinate Quality sorting, supplier RMA, and Supplier 8D / corrective actions as necessary |
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED/PREFERRED) |
REQUIRED:
· Prior proven Quality Engineer experience, 3+years in Automotive desired · High level of analytical ability with emphasis on problem solving and root cause analysis · Highly motivated to attain work objectives, self-starter · Excellent organization and planning skills · High level of interpersonal skills · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes · Knowledge to develop Control Plans, PFMEA’s, and PFD’s · Knowledge of GM Quality Requirements · Ability to learn and navigate through Plex and Covisint · Must be able to travel when required · Ability to address quality issues on multiple shifts
PREFERRED: · 5+ years industrial/manufacturing experience · Knowledge of statistical process control procedures · Knowledge of AIAG, IATF, APQP · Formal problem solving experience: Shainin, Six Sigma, etc. · Knowledge of vehicle interior parts, assemblies, and related part constructions and/or designs
Education: · High School Diploma with at least 3+ years of equivalent work experience and/or training · Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred |
