The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors welcomed Ashley O’Reilly, owner of Lorelai Lace Boutique, with a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate her new boutique at 211 W Market Street in Bluffton.
O’Reilly worked at the previous boutique for a year and said she loved meeting new people in the community. The boutique became available for sale at the beginning of 2019 and O’Reilly took advantage of buying the business. “I was born and raised here, love this community and wanted to keep this business going,” explained O’Reilly.
Watching the downtown grow has been exciting and inspirational for O’Reilly. “Seeing the new generation of business owners and individuals coming in to keep the downtown growing, is exciting,” said O’Reilly. “I want to leave a legacy for my daughter and want her to see me succeed; even if it was a legacy of having a downtown store named after her.” The boutique is named after her daughter, Lorelai Lace.
Customers can expect a warm and relaxing environment and a comfortable place to try on clothes. “I will give you my honest feedback and opinion if it doesn’t look good on you or doesn’t fit right. The overall positive shopping experience and knowledge of the product is important to me,” O’Reilly said.
Lorelai Lace Boutique offers a variety of clothing from casual to dressy attire. O’Reilly explained that she has customers that are 77 years old to as young as 12 years old and she is personable with customer needs. “Customers should enjoy and feel the one-on-one small-town shopping experience.”
Items that can be found in this sheik boutique are tops, seasonal shoes, dresses, jeans, jewelry, purses, lotions, and room sprays. “There is something new every week and I will have one sale a month,” O’Reilly stated. “I just started a text club for customers to get updates and specials for the week and announce the new items that have come in before the product is released on Facebook or the website.”
O’Reilly said she will be actively involved in the downtown events taking place such as the June 1st Olde 303 Music Festival. Partnering with the downtown businesses and the events coming up is exciting. “I want to make an impact in our community and make money to not only be sustainable, but to be at a position to give back and help in many ways.”
