More Than Mail Opens New Gift Shoppe

The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Chamber committee members congratulated Marvin Isch and his staff with a Ribbon Cutting on December 4, 2020 for the new More Than Mail Gift Shoppe. The additional location will be in the same complex as More Than Mail with an address of 2155 North Main Street, Suite 1 in Bluffton.

Isch started planning a year ago that an additional gift store space would be advantageous for his business. “Other shipping stores have gift shops and have done well,” explained Isch. “I am running out of space at the shipping location and when this became available, I decided to expand.”

Isch wanted additional options and bring in more foot-traffic for people to purchase décor. The inventory started to expand when Isch approached customers who were shipping unique home-made or purchased items and asked if he could sell them at the store. “It just started to grow from there.”

“Bluffton doesn’t have a lot of country-style décor items and I don’t want to compete or take business away from other stores. These are items you might find in Shipshewana or Nashville,” said Isch. “The majority of the inventory is made locally or in the United States.”

Inventory will change based on the season; however, items customers can find are Christmas décor, signs, baskets, puzzles, wind chimes, and old-style country décor. There is an additional area for children with Melissa & Doug items, coloring and sticker books and pads, wooden play items, art books, and more.

In addition, Isch allowed a local dealer with Softub to use space as a showroom. “This is a customer of ours and they would normally use their home as a showroom, but due to COVID-19 they closed that option. So, they have a couple displays here in the Shoppe.”

More Than Mail Gift Shoppe will have a Grand Opening on December 11 and 12 from 10am to 8pm for the community to attend. “People should be getting a flyer in the mail offering 10% off. Anyone that brings in the flyer or mentions the discount, we will honor,” Isch stated.

Isch concluded, “our goal is to be a blessing in our community. We are really excited to be here serving others.”

Hours for More Than Mail Gift Shoppe will be Monday through Saturday from 10am to 8pm.
