New Downtown Business Opens
The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors welcomed owner Charley and Angie Staggs with the Nutrition Loft located at 109 East Market Street in Bluffton. A ribbon was cut to celebrate and welcome this new business in downtown Bluffton.
Charley and Angie Staggs have owned Envy Nutrition in Marion since November 2020 and were looking for a location to open an additional smoothie and juice bar. “We heard so many great things about Bluffton and decided one day to take a drive to check out the area and we fell in love,” said Angie. “The downtown atmosphere is amazing. We met in November 2020 with Nick Huffman, Steffen Group, who then connected us with Andy Shively to check out this building space.”
Angie stated that she loved the space and could envision what the end result would look like. Shively and his crew started renovating the building the first of the year taking down plaster, sealing the brick, repairing brick, painted, redid the ceiling, and installed a new floor. “Andy did so much work to the space and literally all we needed to do was build our bar and bring in our décor. We were able to get into the space the first part of March to start working on our part.”
The Nutrition Loft offers nutritional protein smoothies, energy drinks, meal replacements, vitamin tablets, and aloe vera for digestion. “We have not even introduced everything we offer because it is a little overwhelming when you come in and see the menu with over 100 shakes, in addition to the different steps in the process. Soon people will get to be a pro and know exactly what they want,” explained Angie. “We will slowly start to add more of our products that we offer to the community.”
The protein smoothie has 24 grams of plant-based proteins, is under 250 calories, with over 100 flavors to choose from on the menu. Options also include gluten free and low carb. Selections can be upgraded to tea bombs, which are energy drinks that have a vitamin tablet included, such as B12, and other additional vitamins. Other enhancers can be added such as collagen for hair and nails, immune boosters, electrolyte replacements and soon to be added an athlete line that will have pre- and post-workout drinks and post-workout smoothies that have 40 grams of protein.
“The process is really easy,” stated Angie. “With every protein smoothie, you get an aloe vera shot (with three flavors to choose from), and an unsweetened herbal tea.”
“We want customers to know that when you walk into The Nutrition Loft it is a friendly and inviting atmosphere,” said Angie. “If anyone has any questions, it is not a bother, our operators are always willing to help customers make choices and show them what we have.”
The Nutrition Loft will be organizing monthly wellness challenges with prizes for customers meeting their fitness and nutrition goals. In addition, Angie is excited to get out in the community, give back, and support local causes. “This community has been so welcoming, and we are excited to be here in Bluffton,” said Angie.
The Nutrition Loft is open Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm and Saturday’s 8am to 3pm.
