Prible Ag Products Recognized as the July Member of the Month
The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors surprised Prible Ag Products as the July Member of the Month. Prible Ag Products, owned by Bob Prible, located at 1920 W 700 S in Poneto, has been in business since 2005. Prible has been selling seed since 1991.
Prible Ag Products is an agricultural company that specializes in seed and equipment sales. Prible explains that they sell Channel Seed, sells their own line of seed wheat and non-GMO beans, and have sold new and used farming equipment since 2009.
Family is important for Prible; he respects the fact that his parents taught him and his brothers about a strong work ethic and the importance of being there for one another. “Today, my children are involved with the business,” stated Prible. “My son, Tanner, is a full-time employee. My wife, Cindy, has been a fantastic partner and helps with the business daily. My daughters, Katelyn, Ashton, and Jamie help with the organization of customer appreciation events such as the Tin Caps night and Field Day. Everyone helps with the business.”
Prible also enjoys building relationships with the families of hard-working farmers that do business with him. “We love nothing better than to support this community and they support us in return,” said Prible. “I always wanted to prove that a small family-owned business can be run with honesty and integrity and still survive. The customer is always right, and we try to give them what they want, when they want it, and whenever they want it.”
The 11,520 sq. ft enclosed building is conducive for storage, has a loading dock with a 12’ entrance, and can house additional office space for a business. “We have the ability and space to expand to meet opportunistic needs, can deliver product local and nationwide, and ship, receive and assemble packaging on site,” said Prible.
Prible Ag T-shirts have been seen throughout the area and Prible explained what started out as a simple gesture ended up being a huge marketing avenue for the business. “Several years ago, YFC used our building for meetings and the kids wanted the Prible Ag T-Shirts, so we started to hand them out,” said Prible. “We gave customers the T-Shirts but never thought about handing them out to anyone; seeing the joy in people’s faces was so rewarding.” Prible decided to hand them out at 4H, schools, and different community events and now Prible Ag T-shirts are being worn in many communities.
“Prible Ag Products is committed to helping the community and the businesses that thrive within it and are also very thankful for the Chamber of Commerce,” Prible concludes.
