Ribbon Cut for New Hoosier House Family Restaurant
The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors welcomed Ivan Gomez and staff at the new Hoosier House Family Restaurant located at 1529 Harrison Road in Bluffton with a Ribbon Cutting. Hoosier House officially opened their doors on May 10, 2021.
Hoosier House is owned and operated by Ivan Gomez, who currently owns a total of four restaurant locations. Two locations are in Bluffton: Indiana Pancake House and Hoosier House. The others are located in Butler and Markle.
Hoosier House moved into the space of The Corner Depot. Gomez said, “we had the opportunity to buy the building, we really like Bluffton, and appreciate the support the community provides. The space was ready to move into and we just had to do some minor preparation to get started.”
The previous wait staff were all able to keep their jobs and transition to the new restaurant owner. Sandy Brigner, a familiar and long-term waitress at this location, stated that the transition has been very positive. “There is a great variety of food options and the portions are larger. We are finding people visiting that have never been here before and really like what we have to offer.”
The menu selections from each restaurant are a little different. Hoosier House offers more dinner-style selections such as hearty dinners, homemade burgers and melts, broasted chicken, and options with fish.
Hours of Hoosier House are Monday through Friday from 6am to 8pm and Saturday from 6am to 3pm.
