The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff, Ambassadors, and local community members celebrated STAR Insurance’s new location at 1980 N Main St, Bluffton with a Ribbon Cutting on July 11.
STAR Insurance employs a total of 58 employees in 14 offices serving 14,000 customers in 32 states and is celebrating 101 years in business. The Bluffton location’s staff consist of Nicole Carroll, Jill Carter, Kathy Christman, and Scott Smith. The services they provide include personal policies of home, auto, and life, commercial polices and group benefits for businesses.
Nicole Carroll, Account Executive explained that they are an independent agency with the goal to work with carriers and provide the best possible proposal for each customer. “We are here in the community and we have your best interest in mind.”
“Solutions are out there and we are here to help our clients find those options,” adds Scott Smith, Account Executive. “People don’t realize what is available to them and we can make their situations better. STAR continues to evolve and we are excited about this new venture here in Bluffton.”
Nick Mehdikhan, STAR Insurance President and CEO explained that as the client base continued to grow, the convenience for customers parking and walking into the branch was continuing to be difficult at the former location.
Mehdikhan stated, “We are starting to remodel offices and investing in locations to offer banking, insurance and private advisory options.” A noticeable addition to the branch is the Tech Bar. “The technology is a convenience for customers who can conduct transactions in the different lines of our business. This is a digital window into all the STAR services such as investment, insurance, banking, and loans. We are taking care of their needs virtually.”
Also added to the north side of the building is a VBM drive up. “This feature offers real-time banking and is no different if you were at a physical branch location. An actual teller comes up on the screen and customers can have coin counted, make deposits and withdrawals, and pay a loan,” said Mehdikhan. The VBM station is open 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday. The ATM functionality will be coming in the future.
