Steffen Group Welcomed to Downtown Bluffton
The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff, ambassadors, and friends gathered on Thursday, September 26 to celebrate a ribbon cutting with Steffen Group employees and President Brandon Steffen and Vice President Josh Lewis. Steffen group relocated to 107 West Market Street in Bluffton.
Steffen Group has an office location in Fort Wayne and in Bluffton with a total of 45 employees including auctioneers, professional office staff, and real estate professionals. Brandon Steffen, President, founded the company in 2001 and had an office in Fort Wayne. Steffen had a vision to become a leader in the auction industry.
Steffen continued to grow in the profession and soon the business continued to expand. “I realized that there was a big opportunity for residential and auctioning services in the market; therefore, we opened an office in Bluffton about two years ago on the north side of town,” explained Steffen.
Josh Lewis, Vice President of Steffen Group, was a Norwell Grad and started out as a college intern 12 years ago and worked his way up in the business. Lewis has been with Steffen Group since 2008.
“Our business is different because we are aggressive and embrace technology with sophistication and we have an in-house marketing department, graphic designer, and web specialist to keep Steffen Group at the forefront of technology and change,” said Steffen.
Steffen Group manages over $5 million worth of commercial space from Indianapolis to Valparaiso by being the manager and leasing agents. In addition, they manage 40k square feet of office space in Fort Wayne.
“We pride ourselves in being very diverse in the areas we practice whether it be large or small,” explained Lewis. “We work with farms, estate sales, commercial properties, lake properties, and business liquidations and will also partner with other agencies that may not have the staff or time to take care of these transactions.”
This past May agents Nick Huffman, Cathie Peterson, Bobby Perry, and Mandy Cay were in a transition; therefore, Steffen Group brought this talented staff to the team. “In addition, our offices moved to the great location on Market Street in downtown Bluffton,” added Steffen.
“Our goal for this team is to continue to build solid relationships in the community and be an integral part of Wells County. This Bluffton team is special because we are all from here and have roots here, and that is the powerful to make things happen,” said Steffen.
Lewis concluded, “we are here for the community and for any project or property and hope people keep us top of mind for their real estate needs in wells county.”
